A Little Bit About Us
The Reno Fire Fighters Association represents the men and women of the Reno Fire Department and Sparks Fire Department below the rank of Battalion Chief, and the Reno Tahoe International Airport Fire Department including Battalion Chiefs. Our members serve Reno, Sparks and the Reno Airport as fire fighters, emergency medical service providers, fire equipment mechanics, and fire prevention bureau personnel. The Reno Fire Fighters Association, affiliated on September 11, 1942, is the 731st local affiliate of the International Association of Fire Fighters.
The Reno Fire Fighters Association is dedicated to protecting the well being of our members, who in turn protect the lives and property of our citizens. The Reno Fire Fighters Association, and its duly elected representatives, are proud to provide leadership on a range of issues including contract issues, especially safety for our members and the public, and taking a leading role in the fight to keep fire stations fully staffed. Some of the areas that the Reno Fire Fighters Association serves our members include representation in contract negotiations, grievance and discipline matters, assistance in retirement and worker’s compensation cases, and fire department safety and health matters.
The Reno Fire Fighters Association is proud to serve our members who protect our community in northwestern Nevada and beyond.
Fraternally,
Local 731
